NM-HIMSS: Medical Device Product Development for Startups, The Bitter Pill Eric Miller, Co-Owner & Principal, PADT, Inc.
The BioScience Center
5901 Indian School Road NE
Albuquerque NM 87110
No one wants to discourage a good idea, and entrepreneurs make it a long way before someone sits them down and explains how long and expensive the engineering of a medical device product is. In this one hour seminar Eric will share the hard and cold realities of the process, not to discourage people, but to give them the facts they need. This hour long seminar includes a review of Medical Device Development fundamentals, a look at the design process that all companies are required to use, a discussion about manufacturing and other down-stream steps, and then concludes with a blunt list of lessons learned and recommended next steps. There will also be time after for questions and an open discussion on the realities of medical device product development.
